On 21st October, 2022, The Great Lake Creative Producers Lab initiative announced on their online platforms their second edition participants. Among them was Usama Mukwaya who would be representing with his upcoming feature film, In Just Hours.

This years other participants include Emmanuel Nturanyenabo and Josue Simparingabo from Rwanda, Flavia Bukoja and Usama Mukwaya himself from Uganda, Hatibu Madudu and Wilson Nkya from Tanzania and April Wambuim Margaret Wacera, Collins Akunga and Sofia Namuye from Kenya.

About the GLCPL:

The Great Lakes Creative Producers Lab is a 5-day film development program that aims at broadening the professional networks and producing expertise of participants through a series of hands-on workshops and one-on-one sessions with local and regional industry mentors. The program is designed to hone emerging producers’ creative instincts and evolve their communication and problem-solving skills at all stages of their next feature film project.

The 1st lab Edition held in 2021 was a resounding success hosting producers from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda & Burundi.
